Field work in Lake Abbortjärn 3, Västerbotten, Sweden

ABOUT ME

I am a researcher at the Department of Aquatic Resources at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

I did my PhD at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science at Umeå University in Sweden (2005-2009) in the lab of Lennart Persson. The question that motivated my dissertation was the observation that individuals within the same population and of similar age often exhibit substantial differences in body size.

Following the completion of my PhD, I joined a large interdisciplinary research project as a post-doctoral associate at the Department of Aquatic Resources at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (2009-2011), aiming to link food web dynamics to fisheries. Together with collegues at SLU and Amsterdam University I developed and analyzed size-structured models of competing populations, representing Baltic Sea fish species and their resources.

Thereafter I joined the lab of David Post at Yale University as a post-doctoral fellow (2012-2013) funded by the Swedish Research Council working within the field of eco-evolutionary dynamics.

As of 2014 I'm back in Sweden!
